Tips for screen reader users

We are committed to providing accessible content for our customers. Our accessibility efforts are based on the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Levels A and AA.

Ways to improve your screen reader experience
  • Keep your technology updated
Our website is designed to be compatible with assistive technologies and the last two versions of major browsers. In Internet Explorer 10 and in older browsers, some aspects of the website may not display optimally. The website is not designed for Internet Explorer 9 and earlier versions.
  • Navigate by headings
We structure complex content with headings. Skim content or jump to a specific topic through heading navigation.
  • Control font sizes
Use browser and device settings to resize content for optimal reading.

Several videos on the Barkley Seed website use Vimeo and YouTube.

Assessment approach

We assessed the accessibility of the website by self-evaluation with help from WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool.

Ongoing Effort

Although we are proud of the efforts that we have completed and that are in-progress, we at Barkley Seed view accessibility as an ongoing effort.

Please contact us if you have any feedback or suggestions as to how we could improve the accessibility of this website.
